It all started with Oscar, our beloved dog, whose antics inspired me to photograph dogs in action. But it was a near-tragic accident that almost took him from us that truly solidified my understanding of the deep bond we share with our pups. It reinforced what I already knew—dogs aren't just pets; they're family. The beautiful natural light and stunning outdoor locations around Brisbane provide the perfect backdrop for capturing these special connections. Most of our photoshoots are in and around the suburbs, but we're always up for an adventurous location. I've since had the privilege of capturing countless similar bonds, especially with senior dogs, and hearing from their owners how much these lasting memories mean to them—a true testament to the love we share with our furry mate. — Paul Elby

I specialise in photographing dogs, emphasizing their natural behaviour. About 98.9% of the dogs featured in my work are everyday companions, whether they follow commands or don’t. During pre-session consultations, we discuss potential behaviour challenges, such as a dog being scared of the camera shutter. I use positive reinforcement techniques to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for your four-legged family member.

You bet! Although I also love taking photos of the pet interacting with their owner. Capturing the connection that you have with your pet is the name of the game here. I definitely love taking these types of photos, if it’s a family shoot, well then, your dog is part of your family and should be treated so.

Our top priority is ensuring the safety of our clients during sessions. Off-leash dogs are allowed only if owners are fully confident in their recall abilities. In specific scenarios, such as urban settings, even well-behaved dogs remain leashed for safety. We utilize a long line for action shots, guaranteeing safety. Any ordered image can have leashes removed in Photoshop at no extra cost.
