Health Benefits of Displaying Family Photos at Home and why I don’t do digitals.

The other day Ethan had come home and as most kids do at a young age, they start to display some negative doubts about themselves, Kids can be quite cruel to each other at this age. We laid down on the crash pad and looked up at the 30x30” wallart piece which has 9 images of Ethan through the years. It got me thinking about the value of images that are seen and viewed daily. I could sit him down and show him all the things he has achieved so far in a short time. We talked about the images and the adventure surrounding it, the fun, the emotions and his achievements.  I have done a little research on the matter and found that wall art does have positive benefits.

Displaying family photos at home offers several mental health benefits. These photos can significantly boost children's self-esteem and confidence, helping them feel valued and important. They also aid in establishing a child's identity and sense of self, particularly beneficial in blended or adoptive families. Family photos provide children a voice, encouraging them to participate in family decisions and activities, which fosters a sense of belonging. For seniors, especially those with Alzheimer's, family photos can spark memories and enhance their mental wellness. Photos can also help manage stress and diffuse conflicts by invoking positive memories. Overall, family photos connect individuals to their roots and something bigger than themselves, promoting a sense of love and belonging.

To be honest, most people who only purchase digitals don’t do anything with them. In my business want families to capture memories and stories that can be seen for generations.
